I'm pretty sure that one of the first times I ever tried on a hat, and considered buying it, was when I was 11 yrs. old. It was a big floppy purple one a la Blossom, do y'all remember that show?
I loved that show! Blossom was nerdy but cool and she was a good girl. I liked her. But I LOVED her best friend Six. I had never heard of numbers being names before, I thought she was soooo cool. Pretty much wanted to be her. Oh...and I also dug Joey, Blossom's brother. I'd actually let out an audible sigh at the very sight of him. And blushed just a little. Every time.
I remember watching the show and thinking how cool and "old" they were. How I couldn't wait to be as "grown-up" as they were. LOL, wtheck? Looking back, they were babies! Funny how things appear when they seem so far away...then you get there and realize, it's not at all how it appeared to be...
Anyway, I never did buy that purple floppy hat. Didn't think I could pull it off as well as Blossom. And knew I couldn't pull it off like Six could. I still think she's a cutie :)
Happy Weekend, loves!
xx Ela
If you haven't entered my giveaway, you still can till Sunday, November 15th!
I LOVED Blossom and I love your Hat Head F'sOTD. Gorgeous! Great post :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVED Blossom.... in fact, I have a hat I love to wear and one of my friends always calls me Blossom when I wear it cuz it reminds him of a Blossom-esque hat, I guess... and yes, Six was the coolest of all cool girls I aspired to be. Her name in real life is Jenna Von Oy... I always thought that last name was kinda fun.
ReplyDeleteAnd I LOVE that you called Ryan's wife Harlot... Kristen will love you for that :)
And by the way- please tell S I think he should wake up every morning and say out loud (in his loud voice... which I guess is his normal voice, right?) "I am so lucky to be married to the most beautiful woman in the whole world." Cuz man... he is one lucky guy to get to be with you every day :)
I love the hat! I can't wear them so I totes die when others look so amazing in them. And the pearls are perfect!
ReplyDeleteBlossom...haha I always wanted to be Six.

ReplyDeleteJust caught up with all the posts I missed.... haha, the chocolate melt story is hilarious (by the way, do you still work in an ad agency?). Oh, and I'm really digging your Cruella look in the last post! Have a lovely weekend :)
This outfit is fresh! You look all James Bond does the Caribbean.
ReplyDeleteAww Blossom was a great show. Six was my fav as well. Did you know that chick that played Blossom grew up and went to like Harvard for Nueroscience or something like that. Guess not all child stars end up like Lindsay Lohan.
ReplyDeleteLove the hat, you wear it well. Actually I'm swooning over your whole outfit, you look so chic!
Baby girl, you are AHHHHHH DOOOOOOORRRRRable. Seriously! Smokin! You are rocking the sh*t out of that outfit!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great weekend lady!!
you remind me of a private investigator in that hat...but an adorable private investigator! yea!
ReplyDeleteand blossom...wow. talk about a flashback. i was obsessed with her and her hats. have you seen her now??? liek joey used to say, WHOA!
Oh my goodness I loved Blossom too! Although, I didn't really love Blossom the character much and I never understood why such a cool girl like Six hung out with her or how she has such a GORGEOUS brother but was a little plain jane looking herself! The hats were killer though, and you look FANTASTIC in that fedora!
ReplyDeleteokay....how cute are you in this outfit? LOVE it.
ReplyDeleteLove this look- Icon in Boston...hmmm, where's that!?
ReplyDeleteAlso, I adored Blossom- they need a reunion show, stat.
And, last night I received your package- you are too sweet. Thank you SO much. I can't wait to write in my pretty new journal :)
Enjoy your weekend and thank you again!!<3

ReplyDeleteI have never seen the show before, but that jat is so cute! I know what you mean about the age thing.. when I was younger I would look at the girls on 'save by the bell' (and some other random shows) and think how cool it would be to be a teenager, I now know it isn't great and cant wait to get more freedom!! ahah but thats life

ReplyDeleteI love your outfit and that hat looks so cute on you!! This is one of my favorite outfits of yours. :) I remember Blossom! I felt the same way, I thought they were so old. Hee hee!! That kind of reminds me when I had a crush on JTT and then a while ago I looked back at my old photos of him and was horrified. I think he was 12 in them and I thought he was such an older hunk. LOL! Oh dear...
ReplyDeletePS. I'm glad my post made you laugh. :P I always wonder if I'm boring people with my stories. Oh, and I hope you don't mind that I totally stole the term "stank face" from you. I just didn't know how else to describe my angry disgusted horrified look. :P
