In the past few weeks, S and I have faced some things that have caused us to reflect on how much we truly, deeply, love one another. No, we never questionned it. Not for a minute. I say this, simply because when faced with this, and going through it together...
...every
step
of the way...
we feel so grateful and blessed to have one another.
He is my rock. He is my strength. He is my best friend.
He is the love of my life.
It's been a wave of emotions these last few weeks.
And today, I am incredibly humbled and inspired to watch this, and see the beautiful Nielson family, who through trials and their faith, have so enriched the lives of others. Life is so beautiful and "oh so good".

ReplyDeleteI've been praying for you, Ela. For the last couple of months, I've felt stirrings in my heart for you and every few days or so, I say a prayer just for you. Comfort, peace, contentment, blessings and everything the Universe/Lord wants to give you on your and S's journey.
You are with much more than a soulmate, but like you said, your best friend/rock/family. And I am so glad the both of you have each other to face adversity and happiness with.
I'm so sorry you've been faced with so many trials. I really hope that God/Universe reveals His plans for you quite soon, so that these tribulations no longer plague you both. But man, you are both so blessed to have each other, and that is the best basis for any home/family.

ReplyDeleteI only discovered your beautiful blog today - what took me so long, I can't explain - but felt compelled to write and say how much your writing has moved me.
Let me share something with you...
My fiance and I have known one another for eight years and dated for seven of those. He is the most kind, honourable, witty and loving person I will ever meet; the centre of my very being.
We plan to marry soon and often talk about the family we hope to have. Unfortunately, because of health issues, I may never be able to conceive or carry children.
I dream about our children all the time.
I see - so, so clearly - their adorable little faces. I sometimes wake from those dreams crying. There's a sense of loss for something I never even had. We have picked their names.
I've never spoken about this 'online', for many people to potentially read, and feel vulnerable doing so - but I wanted to reach out and show that you are not alone.
I would like to believe that - if you want and faithfully strive for something - the universe will find a way of bestowing those blessings in time. It just might not be the way in which you had originally imagined.
For example, my fiance and I are considering adoption and may begin the process next year. I know that - no matter how long or upsetting the journey, and from wherever our child may come - they will be cherished and nurtured with every ounce of love we have to give.
If you would ever like to talk about this, come find me and I will be here for you.
